3 Session Location Ideas for your Lifestyle Photo Session - Connecticut Lifestyle Photographer -

Being an on-location lifestyle photographer with no studio can feel limiting, or it can be freeing. My style does not jive with the traditional studio look, so I love to venture out and explore new possibilities. It gives me a chance to be creative for my clients and it ensures that each and every session is unique.

Do you want to book a business or family session, but you’re unsure where to hold the session? Hit me up and we can get creative together!

one - field

My obvious go-to location is a warm, open field with a gorgeous backlit sunset that produces the most dreamy images. Of course this location can be weather-dependent and it’s not the best spot in the winter. So what else?

two - parking garage

You’re probably thinking, a dingy parking garage? Seriously? But hang on a second.. do you see that above image? C’mon!! It’s the perfect minimalistic backdrop. It can be dressed up or down and it doesn’t matter if its winter because it always gets plowed! I love this spot because we can use the shaded parking garage spot for when the sun is still high in the sky then transition right to the rooftop for sunset.

three - your home

I shoot all my newborn session in your home. I chose to be done with my studio when I came to terms with the idea that posed work was not my jam. I like to tell a story with your session images and what better place to do that than in your very own home? Your home can be used for family sessions, maternity, couples, even your business shoot. Do not discredit your home either. It does not have to be the most picturesque, Better Homes and Gardens home out there. We can make it work!
